We hired Sofia to support us for the birth of our second son and were beyond happy with her services. Sofia met with us twice before I went into labor to go over our goals, pain relieving techniques, and the phases of labor. Once in labor, she met us at the hospital - I was not admitted initially because labor was early so in a somewhat hilarious turn of events, we went to the grocery store nearby to get some snacks and allow labor to progress. Sofia was such a support, encouraging me to walk and lunge in the store, which helped labor progress rapidly. An hour later we were at the hospital in active labor. Sofia was brilliant at encouraging different positions, use of the tub, and breathing/vocalizations to help me manage my pain all while supporting my husband to help me. They made a great team together. She went above and beyond, often putting herself in uncomfortable physical positions to support me through my pain. I’m so grateful for Sofia. She helped us achieve exactly the experience we were hoping for. After the baby was born she visited me to see how things were going and continues to be supportive. In addition to being an incredible person- she made my birth experience the best it could have possibly been. Her knowledge and expertise and care is what got me through my birth and having her as an advocate and support by my side was a blessing. In the weeks leading up to my birth meeting with her and learning made me feel excited and empowered and ready for birth! Sofia was absolutley amazing! I will never give birth without a doula again. I was so skeptical at first and thought I could handle things on my own, given this was my fourth and I have given birth without meds before. I didn't know what I was missing!

Sofia prepared us so well beforehand and helped with essential oils, positioning, etc. in a way that only someone who knows what they're doing could. She was very in tune with our needs as a couple and adjusted her style accordingly. Her availability outside of the birth was amazing as well, helping with text suggestions, essential oil massage, etc.
